Kieran holds a Master of Counselling, and qualifications in Art Therapy, Mediation, Project Management and Workplace Training.


Over 30 years she has provided counselling, support, training, and leadership in the areas of suicide prevention, crisis support, relationship counselling, cancer support, family separation, and youth work.

Kieran has provided Employee Assistance Program Counselling for several Canberra workplaces, and taught Welfare and Community Development courses at Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT). She has also coordinated consistent and quality services for Lifeline Australia’s call centres, and OzHelp’s national services. Kieran has also been a volunteer telephone counsellor and group trainer for Canberra Lifeline and Youthline.

Kieran has worked with organisations to improve policies and procedures and train staff, to ensure quality and consistent service provision and appropriate support and safety for staff, particularly for national organisations with several locations. Kieran’s work on quality service standards resulted in commendations from auditors.
